Amritsar, a city of immense historical, cultural, religious and economic significance, stands at a pivotal juncture in its development journey. Recognizing both its potential and the challenges it faces, the “Viksit Amritsar” conference brings together policymakers, experts, community leaders and stakeholders to assess these challenges, explore sectoral opportunities and formulate strategies for inclusive and sustainable growth with a focus on women and youth empowerment, strengthened local institutions and enhanced financial inclusion.

The conference will examine Amritsar’s socio-economic landscape, evaluate sectoral challenges, and identify opportunities across tourism, agriculture, industry, trade, infrastructure, health, education and skill development.

Special emphasis will be placed on empowering women, youth and marginalized communities, strengthening cooperatives and Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and promoting financial inclusion.
